I'm planning on getting a massaged Norc1911 from Armco. Just for recreational shooting, nothing competitive. I 'm not familiar with the box stock sights on the Norc and was wondering should I upgrade the sight now or leave it be?

The sights are pretty sad even compared to what ships on many stock 1911s these days.

I think an upgrade would be a good thing to consider while its still in Gunnars hands. It will save a trip to a Gunsmith later on.

Heres a picture of the sights that Gunnar will put on the Norinco for $125.

If you are getting it from gunnar, might as well upgrade the sights right then. Saves on shipping charges, and you get to enjoy the sights right from the get go rather than being disappointed in them...

Gunnar will massaging my Norc 1911 in a couple of days.
Among the tweeks, a set of his high vis IPSC sights with a fiber optic front :D :D . If I take a 0 on a stage now, I can't blame the sights :( .

(E)

PS
You might wanna check quick. I think I got one of the last sets he had.

Make sure the front sight is dovetailed in, Norinco steel is too hard for a second staked in front sight. Regards, Richard :D :D

PS I watched a couple of staked in sights go down range on my #2 'rinco.
