Upgraded 590A1 rear sight??

Thought I got a good deal on a new 590A1 Boxing Day.. Got it home and took it out of the box to clean it up and found that when I shouldered it, the aperture on the rear sight was broken off!

To drive the gun back to the store would cost me around $60 so I thought I might put that money towards upgrading the rear sight all together and maybe incorporating a rail.

LPA looks the best to me but I can't find anyone that has one and XS seems to be the next best thing.

Any other suggestions or do you know where I might find an LPA?

I don't think they can be had anymore. Look up Casey at Tactical Ordnance. He carries Vang Comp. They make a similar setup.

What sights did it come with, the LPA, the Mossy one or the XS? If it's the stock mossy sights you don't need a front ramp. It comes with a dovetail replacement front sight that fits the current front dovetail but you could still use the stock one.

You might as well send Mossberg an email while you research a replacement....... they will probably mail out the broken piece for free.
Even if you go with another option it's nice to have a working original should you ever decide to sell it down the road.
