Hi guys! Recently I got Colt AR15, my first ar  , there is no way im changing the way it looks, but internals worry me. She has SA bolt carrier (colt but not original) with a cut under firing pin, and but stock also "rings", I've been told its normal by changing buffers and springs, but still annoying. Is there way to get rid of it. I want to make it run with less stress as possible and as smooth and soft as possible, don't care about if fast it cycles, I dont double tap or anything like that. Would it be better to use heaviest possible buffer and spring, with FA BCG from LMT or Stag? What lubricant would you guys recomend, i heard some mobile red aircraft grease is good. It's also has A2 birdcage flash hider and triport is the one needed, one anybody know where to get one and PMag has to go .

Here are some pic, sorry for iphone quality.

Obviously you guys don't shoot your guns enough.

Put a little grease on the mainspring to knock down the sound.

Other than that, you won't notice the sound once you put a few thousand rounds through it.

All spring driven gas guns make similar noise, but you don't have your face next to it.

As to the bolt carrier, buy a replacement which shields the firing pin and be happy. Keep the original for collector purposes.

I'd be tempted to leave it as is (other than greasing the mainspring). Don't worry about swapping out the BGC or anything else unless you actually have issues with the current one.

The sound of the recoil spring/buffer on my SP1 is more like a "swiiish". I kinda like it;)
Nice rifle btw...but try to find some 5/20 Colt mags.

Looks great the way it is (definitely need at least one 5/20 Colt magazine though). As mentioned lube the buffer spring and SHOOT IT! :) If you dont want to go the SP1 route, Im sure plenty of folks around here would unburden you from it :p

JP Custom Buffer Springs and Silent Captured Springs

According to John Paul from JP Enterprise, his buffer and spring makes your AR shoot like a bolt gun. It's around $125 US. Drop in replacement.

Guy I know took his SP1, dressed it in Magpul, put a BAD device on it and put a fake can on the barrel because he didn't like the length of the barrel past the front sight base. Sad sad rifle.

My A2 stock also makes a "sch-r-ing" sound inside the buttstock. I tend not to notice when I'm shooting at my local range because the sound reverberates in the alamo-esque shack we have to shoot from, but when I'm out in the open, shooting at CF base ranges, you can really hear the spring moving. At first I was concerned, but apparently it's very common and completely irrelvant to the function or longevity of the rifle. If you really can't stand the sound, you'll have to add some grease inside your buffer tube. That said, grease could trap dirt in there, so if you can live without it, then do.

He could have just sold it and purchased something that fit his needs f:P:
