Hi friends I am building a build long awaited I purchased the BA Hanson 10.3" it has a the gas block installed and boy is it installed the catch is this I have a carbon fibre/ polymer hand guard I have tried to remove the gas block to slide the barrel nut over the gas block and it will not work .
I don't want to damage the gas block or the barrel and really want to use this hand guard its being pared with a side Charging upper this has been a really costly upper build , can anyone suggest anything I have tried the usual stuff I really not sure what is up it seems like the gas block is dam near welded in place with Red lock tight or something .

Thanks
Bush

this is the barrel
The original BA Hanson profile barrels have a .750” diameter at the gas block journal and it is more of a light/medium contour. The BA Hanson .625” barrels are called this due to .625″ diameter at the gas block journal. This profile is a thinner and lighter weight version of the original BA Hanson profile. Each BA Hanson barrel comes with a pinned, lo-pro Gas Block already installed which makes them an excellent value.”

Hey Thanks yes I did loosen the set Screw I am not a newbie at all I can't really see the pin its a bit odd and just don't want to get too rough its a just different I honestly was not aware that it came with the gas block attached I have a nice stainless gas block for this build Barrel was highly reviewed .
Anyways I think I might just have to adjust my build I have several hand guards this is just a little disappointing as this was planned for sometime and parts purchased over a year I found the side charging upper a bit heavy (the BCG that comes with it is super weighty) so thought this ultra light weight Carbon fiber hand guard would compensate .
Thanks I thought maybe I was missing a obvious if this is pinned its a factory type of Pinning and I can't seem to figure it out the set screws did zero to loosen the block .
