I am looking to buy/put together a nice top end, 20 inch barrel, flattop receiver.

What wouold you suggest for a top level upper tos tart with, o alternatively a complete upper?

I like th looka nd rep of the VLTOR MRU, however not sure if I can get on in Canada?

Alterantively, ther are the options from Stag, RRA, Dlask... any thoughts?

Does Dlask use their own forgings or are they just assembled with supplied parts? If so, does anyone know who the upper receiver comes from, what barrels theya re using and what bcg thier are using?

Should I be looking fro an m4 feed ramp model or no?

Thoughts are greatly apprecaited.

PS this is going on one of ATR's incredible lowers!!!

Lots of suppliers can either supply or build what you're looking for, when you're looking for something like this, call them and ask questions - and listen to their answers. You'll be pleased with the results.

Dlask is good from what I hear. I plan on picking up a mini-moose upper sometime soon. I've also heard good things about the 20" DPMS uppers. Although they are hard to find.

Could you tell us more about what you will be using it for and what distances you are hoping to shoot?

If you're looking for someone to put something together for you, contact ABHobbyist. He just built my 20" upper. He puts these together (and all other AR types) in his spare time.

The guy knows his stuff, and is meticulous in the details. Highly recommended!

Get a Rock River national match lower parts kit. Then talk to Walter over at ArmsEast & ask for the m4 config with the barrel cut and threaded. Then buy a whole wack of ammo and get used to the whole "two stage" trigger system. Oh yeah scrap the hand stock gaurds and get the Daneil Defence Omega 7" free floating hand gaurds from Wolverine and don't cheap out on the optics! Once complete come back to this site and post some #### pic's!
