Urbino Type Stock For the Mossy 590?

Hey guys,

I just picked up the Mossy 590A1 Blackwater and I like the fixed stock it comes with but I want a pistol grip too. The Mesa Tactical Urbino stock is exactly what I want but I have neither an 870 nor a Benelli. What esle is out there?? Is a pistol grip on a shotty over rated?? Ive never used the pistol grip configuration so Im reaching out!!

Putting a pistol grip stock on a 590 will make it less ergonomic to manipulate the safety, unless you have really long thumbs.

Mesa is about to release one for the 930, but as far as I know they aren't looking at the 590 yet.

mavericks and 870s are better for pistol grip-ing...not 500/590s

Magpul's coming out with a SGA stock for mossberg 590/500's this year,lot of nice features on this, friend of mine just got one for his 870,very nice. Adjustable LOP from 12.5"-14.5",good recoil pad and lots of sling options.

It's kind of like a cross between a pistol grip stock and a standarded one and keeps the safety easy to use on the 590/500's, not that it's as "BIG" of a problem with a pistol grip stock as some would have you beleive.

Oh' and another one would be a speedfeed, they make a pistol grip stock for mossbergs.

Something else,a little pricy though,would be to get a MESA LEO Stock Adapter for the mossberg,put a AR rifle receiver extension [tube] on it and add an A1/A2 stock or one Rock river arms LE entry tactical stocks on it if you want something shorter. If you go this route you can add what ever AR pistol grip you want as well.
