Does anyone have a BUL M5 Manual, especially one for the BUL M5 Ultra X Compact? I have a friend with one that is desperate for a manual. I recently purchased a brand new one and it did not come with a manual and I gather they are hard to find.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated; happy to cover any costs of copying, mailing, etc.

Thank you all for your assistance. The pdf shows how to disassemble the slide only; for some reason my friend has had trouble with his M5; I have been playing with it tonight and the reason he is panicking is that despite what he has heard about them he is finding that the thing is jamming every second round using standard factory ammo, etc. I seem to be having trouble breaking this baby down... I am going to take another crack at it to see why he is having troubles. Never had trouble with a 1911 series before. Will keep at it... but find it curious that they don't make or post a manual anywhere. Nobody seems to have one. Thanks for your kindness and considerations.

I've a manual that came with my IPSC model. It's for the full size govt. model, with standard recoil spring, plug and bushing, not the cone barrel variants. It's very basic and only shows how to field strip. The Marstar sight is a better guide. I use a heavy gauge staple instead of a paper clip, its esier to slide between the barrel and slide.

Have that one... it's a one pager just showing how to disassemble the slide/barrel, etc. Strange that one needs a paperclip to do so.

The friend is telling me that his M5 is giving him lots of misfeeds where the slide does not close completely after firing the first shot. Over 50% misfeeds. I did some looking around and see that this is not an uncommon problem; I am guessing that the recoil spring on his M5 is buggerred.... and have advised him to try replacing that first and making sure all is well lubed.

Those that have this problem seem to indicate that the replacement of the spring usually takes care of the issue; as does going through a breaking in period. But I have not seen the gun up close to see how new it might be or what the spring looks like as I could not figure out how to get it apart (I have plenty of 1911's and they all come apart real easy, especially my Rugers).

The M5 is supposed to be a great gun.

Got any pics of your Ruger 1911? :)

Ooops. Haste makes waste. The Rugers are, of course, not 1911's. They are somewhat a variant on the theme... at least the P345 seems to be. But for sure they are not 1911's. What I meant to say was "AND" my Rugers.

Glad to see someone is on the ball.
