US won't exports anymore 10-22 to Canada ?

As above, not likely.

Probably it started as a rumour that supply was tight, and Ruger would serve the US market first, and not export any for a while. Which gets distorted into "no exports anymore", the sky is falling....

In fact, over the past year, the US has loosened restrictions on firearms and components. They are now allowing 50 BMG rifles, ammo and components out of the US. Previously prohibited from export.

Agreed. I call BS. Another rumor in all likelihood. Of course the ensuing panic-buying and hoarding could be good for business.

This is more the likely explaination..

So they would still allow us to buy AR's, tactical shotguns, 50 BMG but not the lowly 10/22? I don't think so. Ruger's probably back logged some more. It's been pretty tough to find alot of their stuff over the past year or so.

I doubt the US would stop giving away export permits for a hunting/sporting rifle, which the stock 10/22 is. If it was the SR22, then I might believe it, but for the regular 10/22, I highly doubt it.

Hi guys

I just read this on the canadaguns.ca website (http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/newthread.php?do=newthread&f=76) :

The United States will not export it to Canada anymore, apparently, so they have to be imported from Europe. This makes them slightly tougher to get.

What is your opinion, is is just bull...hit or it makes sense ?

Thanks

Ex

Totally true . I just happen to have the last one that will ever be imported . Europe is not exporting either ! I say $2000 is a fair price . If you want a nice quiet place to shoot it , I also have some nice land for sale ! Oh I forgot to add that 22lr is sold out everyone , lets say $200 a brick ? Your going to need some ammo to rid your newly acquired ocean front property of gophers .

No way! Bargoon at $2000! But is it new or is it in 'minty' condition? I don't want it unless it's 'barely broken in'.

(okay, sarcasm off!)

It's a little used , rumour has it Charlie sheen once shot up a hornets nest with it in a drunken rage .
