Used AR180B or New XCR-L

XCR is a nice unit but it doesn't excite me. I still prefer the MR-1. It does everything the XCR does and looks better doing it! Of course this only works is you like the ergonomics of the benelli vs the flat rifle style of the XCR...;)

Thanks everyone for the input I think I'm going to get the XCR, it seems the guy with the 180 is out to lunch and no it didn't have any optics.

XCR-L With a good scope, I have the same ELCAN SpecterDR set-up as "Brobee"
Or the Newer Mini 14 Ranch Rifle, with the tapered barrel...Add a the picatinny rail scope mount and an EOTech or Aimpoint...

No it doesn't = it is only chambered in 223... ;)

how's that quick caliber swap to 6.8 spc and 7.62x39mm working out for you? ;)

hows that adjustable gas block? lots of magpul stuff available for them?
hows the cheek weld? super extra high or super duper extra high? or did you just forfeit your rear iron sight instead?

how much did the extra "bolt on" rails cost? fairly limited to where you can attach things to, no?

My XCR was shooting like a champ this weekend. But for the money you could buy two CZ 58's. I have both and like them for different reasons. With an Eotech(552 a65) with two double A batts. and magnifier it is damn heavy though, time to pump the irons.

I as commenting on it's use as a 223 semi. For the price of the barrel swap you can put it towards a new gun! (Mini-14 would be is a good choice). Adjustable gas setting? Don't need it! cycles every time! Cheek weld is not a issue on my gun. I have NO interest in adding flashlights or laser beams, so extra rails mean nothing to me (plus lots of rails = ugly). Besides that, you can buy a lot of rail for the 1K difference in price of these guns.
