Used Beretta 686s price range - guidance needed

Hi,
I am a o/u newby here and am looking at used Beretta's and in particular the 686S in 12 gauge and 3inch.
What should one expect to pay for a good condition gun? Just trying to get a ballpark range and feel for prices -- am grateful for any advice!

Worth filling out your profile to tell folks where you are.

I paid $1600 for a 1 year old 686E Sporting in mint condition from a club member. I consider that to be a good price for year old gun in that condition. A new one would have cost me over $2600 after taxes. Used sometimes somes with a compromise; mine has 28" barrel. New I would have purchased 30" just because, but I am of a small stature and 28" turned out to be right for ME - so it worked out well.

I put an extra $350 into it and got an adjustable comb put on. I'd highly recommend that.
