I don't usually sell any firearms so I have a question for you all.

How much would I get for my Ruger SR1911 (full size brown grips) that I have only ever brought to the range once. New condition.

They sell new for about 1200 or 1300.

Typically, guys are okay with paying 75%-80% of the cost of a new gun, for one that is in "as new" condition - plus, they don't have to pay tax. You could get more, but you will have to wait for someone who really wants it.

It's amazing the gap between retail and resale on these. I bought one once for $800 and sold it after several hundred rounds for $700. Sadly OP I think you are gonna take a bath on this pistol if you're about to put it on EE.

I won't take a bath on it at all as I bought it a number of years ago when it was much less retail wise. If I had bought recently though and wanted to sell I totally agree with you.

I paid 900 I believe on EE a few years back when no one had them in stock.

I absolutely love the pistol and would pay that again to replace it if stolen.

I sold one locally for $600 a week or two ago. An absolute steal imo.
I tried getting 900... 800... 700... for mine on the ee. I didn't think I could, I expected some offers, but I never even got any low balls.
It's american built, solid, and reliable - that no one wants. But a norinco with a defect short chamber I couldn't hang on to for even a day on the ee.

I bought mine with a bunch of upgrades of EE for $650.

There was a time I remember when they where $900 brand new but with the cdn to us dollar and inflation. Prices have gone up for new but used. It is the same.

I bought cz858 for $650. Beretta 92 inox for $650.

Some used guns like Ruger sr1911 prices stay low and others like inox and cx858 that have gone up
