I think I need to replace my Bushnell Banner D&D and was looking at the Vortex Crossfire 2.5 - 10x50. For those that have used this scope, how well will it hold up on a .270 bolt action?

you won't have any issues with your choice on the 270. I have the same scope on my Ruger 10/22 which suffered a miserable drop onto a wooden floor from about the top of the closet height (6 feet), The gun landed on its side and I thought that was the end of the scope but not a mark and no change to the point of impact, loose lenses etc.

Just go for it.
