Hi

but for a reason that I don't know slings are very dangerous!!! bisontactical don't want to ship to canada:mad:

Where can I find a green/olive nylon sling with swivel. I want to try this technique:

Regards,

That is basically the same sling that comes with a Norinco M14/M305, hooked through a common quick release sling swivel attachment. The rear won't be able to be connected as easily but for shooting you don't connect the rear anyway.

You can also use the good old 1907 style leather sling. Same principle, but with hooks instead of the clamp for adjustment. Uncle Mikes makes a version. Not the best quality but workable.

TR shooters use the same basic setup (with fancier slings) and it does provide a very steady hold, especially in prone.

This setup is simply done... a USGI sling (ebay) and some QD swivels in 1 1/4" size. Am I missing anything? Just gotta get used to the noise of the steel on steel! For competition on the firing line; who cares? Stalking deer? That's another matter! :D

Cheers,
Barney
