USGI Stock Problems

Hey all,

I am having trouble getting the trigger group into a USGI stock for the M14. I can get it in but the trigger guard will not close. I know there are some "hooks" on the trigger guard that lock onto the receiver. Is it possible that these hooks are hitting the stock?

Do I need to dremel the stock out? Anyone else had this problem?

if it is just greese the hooks on the trigger assembly and put it in, then push really hard on the triggerguard...should snap into place, mine did.

Yup...same problem but only with the fiberglass stock. If I put it into the Norc stock it goes in like butter. Do I still need to grease it or could there be another problem?

well i was actually having the problem in both my synthetic stock and wood one..........so i dunno since it seems to be fine in your norc stock. You may want to just try giving the hooks a bit of greece and giving it a bit of a push, without really seeing the stock i cant tell if it would be hitting anything (i dont know why it would) . maybe someone else with more m14 experience will have something to say.

lol, ya i felt pretty stupid too when that happend to me, for some reason that one time required alittle more push then i thought it should need (im always scared im going to break something).

Why is it 'lubricant'? I thought it was really 'lubrican'.
