USGI stock Question

I know this has been asked before , but I can't find the answer now .
I'm swapping the wood stock on my M305 to a USGI stock and the upper screw for the buttplate will not work .
The old one is a wood screw , it looks like the new one is a machine screw .
Anyone know the thread size and length I need .

Home Depot carries the required machine screw & nut you need.

I can't remember the size, but drop Hungary a PM.He knows what size it is. For some reason a #6 machine screw & nut ring a bell.................
