Anyone fired a lot of rounds this way?

No, it doesn't work worth ####.

The feed lips are wider on the 7.62 mags and don't retain .223 well.

because, you can put 2 or 3 more rounds in it legally.

Work on the lips or get beowolf mags.
I don't see why you just don't get beowolf mags if you're really interested i high round count.
I can sell you some of mine if you want.

The lips are the same with my robarms 7.62x39 mags. The difference with 223 mags is the wider demension inside the mag where the rounds stack. 6.8 works good in 7.62x39 mags

Beo mags, yes, great in theory, but they are hard to find and VERY expensive. its not a mid priced sight, its a friggin MAG FFS.

$20 a pop at Questar, get a coupler for $7 and you can have a 20 round mag.....kinda.
