Using 9mm bullets in .357mag

however, if you go the OTHER way , ie a 357 in a 9mm, ie the 38 spcl loading( 158 grain lead swc) in the beretta 92, you will find the slug tends to hit SIDEWAYS ( keyholing) as well as leaves the barrel heavily leaded
 
I have shot 9mm slugs in a .38 spl. with no noticeable decline in accuracy and contrary to t-star's results have had excellent results using .357 diametercast bullets in 9mm pistols (BHP, Colt) as long as the rounds will chamber in a particular barrel.

I have a couple of thousand 9mm jacketed bullets, by Montana bullets I think.
Bought them in a moment of foolish, when I though I might enjoy IPSC;)

They are fully jacketed, even on the bottom.

H4831 can I expect these to all obturate, expand too? Thanks...
 
There are lots of dimensional differences between guns regarding bore size and chamber mouths. Also, Colt revolvers are bored a bit tighter than Smiths, so 9 mm. bullets could work perfectly..

I haven't used them, but some very experienced shooters have replied on here that in general, the 9mm bullets work fine, so I would sure try them.
