I have noticed by reading online some folks use 338/8mm bore brushes to clean their 308's. I have a 30 cal bore snake and it pulls through rather easy. I have 338/38/375 phosphor bronze bore brush for my cleaning kit. I tried it as it wasnt too tight in the bore...only one pass through did a better job than my bore snake. Is it ok to use a slightly larger bore brush? I also noticed copper in my i plan to go get a 308 brush and 8mm nylon aswell as something to remove copper fouling.
