Do you need an adapter or insert over mag of a Beretta 92FS to be able to use them in a CX4 Storm 9mm?

OR should i just stick to finding more CX4 mags?

Thanks for any help,

Jag

No you dont need any adapter.
If you have actual CX4 mags and it says that on them then legaly they can only hold 5 rounds.Regular 92 mags can have 10 rnds.I know seems silly but thats how it is.;)

Cool cause i just got in my 9mm CX4 (from an CGNer) and it came with only 1 Mag. I was looking around on some Beretta forums they were saying you don't need an insert or mag release change, some said you'd need to change both parts. So i was confused on that basis.

thanks for help i'll now be on the look out for some 92FS mags !!

And they don't have to be 'fs' mags... There really is no such thing. The 'd', 'g' etc etc 92 sub-models all use the same mags.

There are several types of 9mm carbine. One that takes the 92 magazines and one that takes the PX4 magazines. You can buy an adaptor to switch from one to the other.

I would not be surprised if you can use both without the adaptor - but you may have minor issues with magazines fitting properly. These may become problems as time goes on.

Also check the fit on the footplate of the magazines. The ones that come with the carbine have a different footplate than the pistol magazines. The footplate on a regular pistol mag may seat up inside the magwell and could have fit issues.

Here's a picture of the adapter.

Thanks

i guess i'll only find out by trying to get a hold of other beretta 9mm mag and seeing how they fit in to the CX4. From there i'll see if i need the insert.

Once again thanks for all the help.
