so fellas as ya know ive got another 30-06 after Selling the X7 , I had a few loaded 150gr Woodleighs loaded, i think around atleast 20, an with an upcoming week long backpack hunt in coming days! i feel it would be wise to Sight in these 150gr rounds and figure theress no real drama as the load isnt above or on max published data, isnt 'hot' in what it was loaded for, should be no real difference to buying different factory ammo for yer gun ey?

it might be only luck that they shoot 'accurate', but 2 inch at 100 would suffice? for 300m big game if the oppertunity arose, although its highly likly the Shots are going to be closer than that, across gulley... So Do i change from the 150gr FN loaded one or two below max???

id put the woodleighs at 1.5 inch high, an my FN load is about that now, but its -4 inch at 200m.. which is point an shoot in the bush... trust this bullet holds? or sigt Woodleighs ..thoughts? for schits an giggles- i will likely shoot two or three to see if they group, an where they group.

The OAL could affect and be dangerous, if you stuck the ogive in the lands. Loading at regular lenght would be ok from a rifle to another.

I load a "generic" 150gr load for 3 different bolt action .308's. As long as you made them to spec, there should be no problem.
The thing that will make an accuracy difference is if the other rifle has a faster or slower twist.

Check AOL and if they chamber properly, try a couple. I load 223 for several rifles, my 22-250 I have to keep separate as chambers aren't compatible.

Were they full length sized or only neck sized? If neck sized only they may not chamber in the new rifle.
