Using factory mags in LSS chassis?

I am thinking of picking up an LSS to put my Tikka into, and was wondering if one can still use their Tikka mags once the gun sits in the chassis. Would my factory T3x CTR mags work or would I have to buy MDT mags for the rifle?

They will not work. I have a ctr in a tac 21 chassis. You need aics mags I recommend the accurate mags.

Dump the stock and mags to offset the cost of the LSS, you will not be disappointed.

Yea I just had another mag ordered for me, and I got the call that it had arrived a few days before I began playing with the idea of putting her in a chassis. I will probably still go with the LSS, it just teaches me the lesson of thinking more thoroughly about the endgame for the rifle before investing too much into it.

The Magpul Pmags were designed specifically for their Hunter stock/bottom metal and a Remington 700. They work very well in most AICS applications, but require fitting in some, notably Howa and Tikka.

Yes, any AICS profile magazine will work. This includes the new MDT metal magazines.
