I have some 30-06 military grade ammo that I used in my M-1 Garand, would it be safe to use in my 30-06 hunting rifle (Ruger) for practise at the range, safe as in pressures? Its non-corrosive type, on the shell it says HXP 64
Thanks
I would practise shooting whatever ammo you plan to hunt with, that milsurp stuff may be ok, but it won't be the same as whatver hunting round you're going to use.
I use lots of my milsurp rifles for hunting. I try to use or reload a hunting soft point that shoots the same as milsurp rounds so I don't have to resight when hunting. I shoot with mostly iron sights so slight differences in ammo groups is not critical, where changing bullet weight such as 150gr to 170gr would be.
