USMC M40 clone

Would this be a period correct scope for putting together a USMC M40 or early M40A1 clone?

Correct... Except for the "wideview" or "TV" ocular lense.

Thanks for the link! Unfortunately, that one doesn't have the tombstone reticle (that fuzzy blob on the bottom of the crosshairs.)

I contacted SWFA about purchasing this scope. Their reply was "no sales outside of the US, no exceptions".

Well maybe you can get it from a Canadian dealer. I don't think it's an SWFA exclusive. SWFA is just where I saw it.

I suspect that the experience I'll be cloning is sitting behind a 1-12 twist M700 and watching what a 155 grain .308 does down range. My 1-12 308 Garands will have a buddy to show 'em that it is the shooter and not the ammo. To keep it fair, I suppose that I'll have to tap Krieger one more time though.
