Post your UPS pics here! I would esp. like to see the Custom Sport and P8 models...

I've been ignoring HKs for a while now (was pretty disappointed with the ergonomics when I tried one while ago) but recently saw a Custom Sport model and liked the look of it, so will have to give it another try maybe I'll like it this time around....

Sorry it's no Custom Sport or P8, but here's my USP in .45

You gave me an excuse to take a pic of the newest addition to my collection ;)

Only complaint being that I really have to shift my hand to hit the slide release. This gun was really meant for people with HUGE mits. I like it, but I think I like the fact that I have the USP I wanted as a kid more than I like the gun itself.

I love my usp, maybe im just bored of my sig but the Hk is really great. The only thing I dont like about it is how low your hand is on the grip, they should have made it more like a glock in that department.

You must not be holding it properly.

Im holding it just fine ;)

Lugger, it came with 2 regular el-cheapo HK mags. They do the job but the quality of the mags does not reflect the pistol. I think the extended ones only come with the usp tactical but im not sure.

edit: yep thats what I meant. After holding a glock in my hands for a while, switching to the usp is very alien but after a while it becomes quite comfortable.

Here's my girlfriend shooting my USP. Both of us really love this gun.

I'm not a fan of those black target sites on the Custom Sport though. Only good for slow firing. The trigger stop is also not useful. Eveyone I know that has an HK with a trigger stop either screws it all the way tight, or just takes it off. The stock HK trigger is really nice. It's more a matter of breaking it in, with either the standard or the match trigger.

the finger extension mags are supposed to be the norm, but, only mags in Canada are supposed to be the 10rd mags. The 10rd mags do not have the same base as the regular (full cap) mags. You can not put the finger extension on the 10rd mags. The only way around this is to get full cap mag bodies, and have them pinned,....then you can use the finger extension.

I will post my USP with Variant #4 (which I use for production). The decocking lever is on the right side of the gun, which allows the right handed user to get a better /higher grip on the pistol.....the thumbs go up nice on the left side of the gun. I used to use a Variant 3, which is the same as Variant 4, but lever is on the left side of the pistol..This is useable, but my thumbs used to get cramped up under the lever.

Re; Match Trigger. The match trigger has a different hammer, trigger stop, lighter trigger return spring, and lighter hammer spring. The flat spring is usually a polished stainless piece.

My next HK will hopefully be this; The HK P30 L,....Decocker "only", at rear of slide, as HK does not think a "duty" type gun should have a Safety, as you would fire first shot DA.

btw I have M&P nice gun...

I really need to take a new pic, but here's the pic I've been dragging all over CGN :D. Private sale from the US, took 3 seasons to get here! And I haven't even had a chance to shoot it yet! Full-sized Tac .45 with 2-colour Meprolights, 3 10/12 mags, and 4 10 rd mags, and of course the practice can :p.

yes, this started life as a regular Stainless USP. I installed the "match trigger" parts from my USP Custom sport. I had a factory "match trigger" kit, or as the Germans call it..."sport tuning kit", but the parts from my original CS were worked in already. I Installed a PSI fibre optic sight set. The finger extension parts I recieved from Robert Johnson. (an internet store that sells some HK parts) The mag bodies I sourced from Ebay and other places.
