usp question Again

STD DA/SA (Safety Trigger/CDA) 11.5/4.5 LBS
V1 LEM (aka CDA) 4.5 LBS
V2 LEM (aka CDA) 7.3 LBS
V3 DA/SA (conventional) 11.5/4.5 LBS
V4 LEM (aka CDA) 6.2 LBS
V5 DAO 8.1 LBS

As you can see, the double-action trigger pull is 11.5lbs on
STD and V3, and although the SA is listed at 4.5lbs, it is not that heavy. My original V1 in SA was under 4lbs. Quite a bit more than the Match trigger, which is DA-10.4lbs, SA-3.5lbs. with some polishing, it goes down to under DA 8.9lbs, and SA-3.2lbs

I also have a USP with the LEM (comparible to V4 LEM at 6lbs), but I still am not used to it, it has a very easy first shot, and follow up shots are ok. It is something you have to get used to.., to get your brain used to only releasing the trigger to the click of the reset, or you can let it all the way out.

Sorry to take so long to reply. The DAO LEM (law enforcement Modification), is a very light DA trigger pull, you can get it in different weights, from 8.5- to 4.5lbs. Things like the firing pin block spring, and the trigger return spring change the weight. The hammer is two piece, not unlike the Para LDA system. The trigger for the first shot is long but in mine, it is around 6- 6.2lbs. After the first shot, you can either do one of two things; you can let the trigger out to the original distance, or you can let it out a little just enough to let it reset, at which point it will have a distance similiar to SA pull. The good thing is that it is always the same weight for trigger pull. Unlike a typical DAO pistol, you can dryfire with the same weight over and over, but with the LEM, it is like the LDA, the movement of the slide pre-cocks the internal hammer. So after each dryfire, you would have to rack the slide manually to get the LEM pre-cocked trigger pull. You can dryfire without doing this, but you are pressing an 18lbs trigger. (good for building up trigger pull strength, and control))
