UTAS – UTS 15 News Update.

We have experienced two re-occurring problems with our first two UTS-15 shotgun shipments. Wolverine Supplies has been working closely with UTAS Turkey to get these issues resolved to the satisfaction of our customers.

Barrel welds: We have seen some barrel welds fail, this is where the magazine tube attachment is welded to the barrel. If this happens the barrel will be exchanged for a new unit at no charge. UTAS have agreed to extend the warranty time on all shotguns that we have received to cover barrel weld failures. If you are concerned about your shotgun please contact us.

Magazine selector bolt: We have seen these break, current production switches are steel, using a 3 mm bolt into a polymer Monoblock. UTAS have developed a magnesium Monoblock using a 5 mm bolt to hold the magazine selector switch. The upgraded magnesium monoblock will be available at no charge for all the UTAS-15 shotguns that Wolverine Suppliers have imported. These are new monoblocks are expected to be shipped to us in approximately 4 to 6 weeks.

The new monoblocks will be offered on an exchange basis. Owners will have the option of returning their gun and have us make the exchange or they can make the exchange themselves. It takes about 15 minutes and only basic tools are required, there is no hand fitting. We will prepare an instructional video on how this exchange is carried out.

No returns, for barrels, monoblocks or complete guns will be accepted without a return authorisation number. The serial number for the gun in question must be provided. We will not refund shipping charges but we will provide pre-paid return shipping labels.

We will keep you advised as parts become available. If you have any concerns please contact: Brent@wolverinesupplies.com
