UTG quad rail for 10/22

Hey all,

Just wondering if anyone knows if a UTG Quad rail will fit over a houge overmolded stock without modification? Also I am running a bull barrel will this clear?

The UTG commando won't fit the Hogue.

I had a UTG on a Hogue stock...it required quite a bit of whittling and cutting of the fore-end to get it to fit. You have to profile the fore-end tip to match the shape of the original Ruger carbine stock, with barrel-band. IIRC, it also needed a thin strip shaved off the top edge of the barrel channel on both sides. That stock is gone...I now have the UTG on an original wood carbine stock reamed out for a bull barrel and like it very much. It comes with a bushing that is used with the original-profile barrel, and removed for use with a bull barrel. Not exactly military-grade hardware, but lots of fun and worth the price.

Bull barrel yes. Hogue stock without modification no. But does work and fit nicely if you spend the time. I've done a 12.5" and a 8" build. The 8" took some more substantial mods. Will post pics tommorow.
