Hey UTS owners,

How are your guns holding out ?

I have an order in for the next shipment. Pretty stoked to get my hands on that !

I am very interested to hear form anyone who has a number of rounds through theirs.

Cheers,

4tkal.

It's a nice gun , check my statistics, I have a review thread there..

Thanks Dmitri,

Nice review ! Its going to be a long wait untill next shipment. Maybe July.
I hear the next ones are to be second generation, with a slight change to the mag tubes. The new ones wont have the mag follower locking slot, so I guess it will load more like a conventional mag tube.
It will be nice to see how well the lazer and light option works.
2 or 3 months....
forever....
:)

its a grate gun. fantastic for a tactical gun and CQB. but its a very hard gun to get used to like remembering to slap the mag followers back in place and the stroke of the pump is not like the normal pump guns its a short close stroke. if you use it allot tho you would be able to overcome any problems. its not fault of the gun. and its tough! the gun is pretty much protected and encased in the plastic and its super easy to take down. i have had it apart with just the tool it came with and a hammer and pliers. and it accepts all benelli chokes. i will put up a pic of my target useing .50 cal slugs in a rifled choke later on.

this is from 25 yards useing the rhino sights and winchester .50 cal sabot slugs from a brownells rifled choke

Hey, thanks JTF !
"Its tough" is exactly what I was hoping to hear! I think its going to be an exciting IDPA type shotgun and I have no worries about learning how to use something different. A bit of range time and I should be somewhat decent with it in no time.
I'm really looking forward to it!
Cheers :)

one thing i should say about the barrel. its actully a streched hour glass shape. its thicker at the muzzel and chamber. and i'm not sure what other people think but i think the barrel might be a little over board. the shot really rips out and expands fast. i think more so then the 870 i used to use for tactical.

interesting...
have you tried it without the breaching attachment, just the barrel ?
I seem to recall reading somewhere about a "spreader choke" with this gun. Maybe it was on the utas.tu website under specs. That site is now utas.com and the complete specs are not on there, but I'll check again.
Anyway, its great to hear positive feedback.
Have you pounded a whole pile of ammo through it, and run it kind of hard ?
Thanks for your replys :)

the breaching attachment is the choke. i have used a brownelles rifled choke in it aswell. you cant fire it without a choke.

i have used bird shot sabot slugs and rifled slugs in it. i dont think i have run it very hard. i dont like to bang my guns all up. specially for almost $2000. but the gun could take it i am sure. there really isent much to go wrong with it. the only problem i had was one #8 birdshot challenger shell dident extract and i was like what the heck so i racked it again and it came out no problem. so i switched to an 870 and on the second shot in the 870 same thing happend the shell got stuck and wouldent extract. so i know it wasent the gun it was the really poor shells.

Failure to extract with really cheap ammo is pretty common. I've had to pound spent shells out of the chamber of my 870 before.
I hear you about not wanting to abuse a 2000 dollar gun. But I'm willing to bet it could take some punishment.
Thanks for your input JTF !
Now just to wait...
Wait....
Soon...
:)
