Ok, so here's the situation. We all spend time and money making sure our clothing and gear is non or low UV reflective so as not to give the critters a glowing beacon as to our where-abouts. Now a lot of our gear is gortex or other fancy mesh mat'l that needs to have it's water-proofness kept up with the occasional treatment of some type of silicone based weather sealing spray.
The question is- Does the application of a weather proofing spray increase UV reflectiveness on the clothing or gear that is treated?
