I like Uxbridge very much. If I lived on the other side of the GTA it would be my choice. Great club.
Won my first Skeet award there - a 2-man Team Trophy Shoot, with Russ Watson - in 1971, ( and a few since ! ) though I wasn't much more than a boy at the time. It was the Scarborough Rod & Gun Club back then. Fond memories of Len Wells whom I worked for for a little while as a teen-ager - and who encouraged all of us "young-guns" to take-up clay target shooting.
Costs have risen a little since then. As I recall, a round was $ 1.25, a box of
factory CIL target loads $ 2.50. Yearly Membership for 1971 (... even have an old receipt ) was $ 25.00.
You'll find Doug Baker to be very accommodating, both behind the cashiers desk and on the field. Class act & a credit to the operation.
Still make the 1-1/2 hour trip down to shoot as often as I can.
