Anyone here know anything about Valdada scopes? I was looking around at fixed high power competition scopes and came across the Valdada 40x45.

Ive never really heard of them before.

Valdada is just the name of the guy that imports IOR scopes in the US. I don't know what it's like to deal with him, but IOR makes quality optics.
I have a fixed 10 IOR with a 30mm steel tube and Schott glass from Germany.. it's an awesome scope, I love it.

We imported IOR and liked the glass but not the service - 6 month turn around and declining warranty on a new scope with a known fault was the nail that did it.

Wolverine picked them up - you may wish to speak to them.

Lots of reviews south of the border, not many of them good.

Valdada does have the new Recon G-2 which is a typical quality unit from L.O.W. in Japan (Razor Gen2, Athlon Cronus, Delta Stryker, Trijicon TenMile, and several others) and has nothing to do with IOR scopes that Valdada imports.

Thanks Peter.

Im going to use my Sightron SIII 10x50x60 off another rifle for now but my first thought was a Sightron 45x for this new rifle in the future .

Now some of the reviews from the benchrest shooter praise the straight 36x from Valdada. But i dont like hearing about waranty problems , so i might just go with my initial idea of a sightron 45x.

That's too bad about the poor customer service
I've had good luck with the 4x M1 and the 6x with the MP8 reticle... never needed any warranty work, but with all the stories going about, I'd be reticent to buy another one (Unless I got a stupid deal, and even then)
