Hi folks! Tough i’d share some pictures of the valmet rifle i have/had in 2018-19!
It’s basically 3 valmet m78 and a galil clone. You’ll see some difference in the m78, some are milled receiver and stamped receiver. I’m looking forward too acquire another one but they are quite rare! Show me your gems!

I hope that the pictures work otherwise here’s a link:

Very nice! Valmet and Swiss 550/540 pattern rifles have to be among my favourites we’re currently allowed to own. I’m working on a adding a Galil clone and a x39 to my collection. Will have to come back and post a family pic here in a few weeks once everything’s home.

Quick question for you. Seeing as you’ve had both milled and stamped .308’s, have you noted any of the differences? I had a couple of each at once last year and on an ambitious Sunday, stripped them all for cleaning and inspection. I originally figured everything would be interchangable, but quickly realized otherwise. The bolts are different, I believe the firing pins are as well. I think there may have been a couple other differences too but can’t recall and no longer have any milled .308’s. I had also noted the action is smoother on the milled receivers. The stamped are still nice and slick, but the milled are buttery smooth.

Thanks for sharing!

Hi my friend! Its been a while since we spoke together!
You are right, both are not quite 100% compatible but that is perfect like this since we have access to different type of valmet, i always said that they are all different events when the machining of the receiver is similar.
But i have a question also, do you see the pictures I’ve tried to put on the post or only the link pictures?
I jave a hard time understanding how to put pictures lol

Can you explain me? I use a cellphone but even with the computer it doesn’t work when i try. I use IMGUR

I loved the Valmat in 223 but I sold it to Hipwell back in 2000, but I kept my Galil in 7.62.
If I win the lottery I will get another Valmat.

I wonder if that was the same gun I bought from him in 2000. LOL

I kept it for a while but ended up selling it for a Swiss Arms instead.
