Does anybody know who, if anyone, sells em? I found a link from 2010 but that shop now sells Norinco mag fed shotguns instead

Lanz Shooting Supplies sells them.

But good luck finding any extra magazines. Make sure you look into the price/availability of extra mags before you buy a Valtro. You might just change your mind.

I tested a bunch some time ago and had nothing but problems with them at first. Mag issues, front sights kept breaking, rear sights had to have work done on them to keep them from coming off. These where the 14" fixed stock pistol grip mods and once we got all the problems fixed, I moved on to other more dependable brands. The mags where the big item, poorly designed and put together. For the money these cost, there are other products available that will give you better service. My two cents.

I considered one 5 yrs ago...when I found out an extra mag cost >$100 I passed and picked up a 590A1.
Saw one on the EE recently.

Sixgun,

by your post you have never shoot a Valtro. I have never had a prob with the gun it's self. it always ready to go not one prob with it.

Sights breaking come on have you held a Valtro(internet know it alls)

The mags are real $$ but the are not cheap and poor quality, they are built like tanks.

The quality is superb a real nice peice fit and finnish is AAA.

That being said yes mags are hard to come by. But the shotgun is a fun as hell to shoot super smooth for a pump slick as ####.

OP dont listen to people who have never shot one as the above poster has posted problems that I have never heard of.

HA! Between me and a buddy back in BC we have put more ammo thru our Valtros then a very active trap shooter except 50% of what we use is buck and 3" mag slugs, I carried mine all most daily for 5 seasons working in the BC back country, he shoots mil and tac shotgun courses, never NEVER have either of us had an issue PERIOD.

These guns are expensive but worth the money, I trust my Valtro with my life.

Other mag-fed products?

Because I'm mainly interested in it because of the barrel length and magazine feed. I have a 20" 590 now that I wanna "downsize" for easier storage and access, etc.

Those of you who have them, are mags just expensive, or are they impossible to find? Wouldn't a stocking PM5 dealer have occasional availability of mags too?

Yes they get some every now and then, and why don't you look at the DA Grizzly if you want something a bit more economical? They make a mag fed and it's based off the 870

Wasn't aware of its existence ^

Looking at canammo website though, it lists availability as fall 2012.... bit of a long wait.

My two cents is based on the experience that had with a number of these firearms. I am happy NISSER17,that you have had a different and positive outcome with this product. But I was under the impression that we come together on this forum to help one other by sharing our collective experiences, both GOOD and BAD, so that he all benifit from the information available.

Love mine, zero issues after 550 shells through it, eats everything you feed it. 7+1 3" slugs with a 14" barrel. Get 2 more mags and you have 21 3" shells ready to go with quick mag switches. You can buy them new for $750 + shipping and tax from Wild West Shooting Centre in Edmonton.

The only thing that beats it (and will replace it for me) would be the Keltec KSG.
