Anyone here own one of those Valtro shotguns that are magazine feed? I tried a search but no luck....I can't be the only one with one of these. Just wondering how others like them? I think they are pretty cool, but they sure kick like a mule!

Last I checked, they were expensive as all hell and there weren't many of them around.

I'd just go with the Grizzly MAG instead.

My son has one. Very interesting shotgun, but I have 2 issues with it: 1, the muzzle blast is brutal. 2- It would be very easy for one to get his fingers near the muzzle break. I guess you'd only do that once, though, and being called "Stubs" by your buddies might not be so bad. it could make nasal hygiene an issue, though.

Excellent very slick action shotgun.
It seems to be Vang choked , since it out patterns an 18 " remington -
WITH A 14" BARREL ! AND less recoil.

We tested several Valtros and found -
What an 870 will pattern the Valtro will pattern at twice the distance !

Worth every penny of the extra moolah -

Ya, it cost me almost a grand when I bought it 4 years ago! But i just couldn't resist. It is very well made. The only issue I've had is it sometimes has trouble feeding 2 3/4 shells? No problem EVER feeding 3" shells, but man, with the 14" barrel my shoulder is pretty sore after a few mags! I love the 7 round mags also.

I have one and love it, just wish the mags were not so expensive. Have to agree with RACKMAN about the sore shoulder after putting a few mags down range.

All feeding problems are resolved with a throat job.

The throat is removable and plastic -
VERY EASY to smooth and ease the load angle.

As for recoil I use one of those kick eeze rubber condoms on the butt. :D

I think you just need to ask your friendly neighbourhood gun shop to try and find some for you. I ordered some through Al Simmons in Hamilton a couple of years ago. It took them about a year to find some and get them in for me...at a cost of $100/mag IIRC. .

I have 3 mags now and want to get another 2
