thanks to acrashb i had the recent opportunity to shoot the Valtro...i posted some pics on the general forum...thought I might repost some here in case you missed it...

again, I REALLY like the Valtro...I have heard some complaints about excessive recoil and getting "burned" by the vents but I did not have any of those problems...no problems with the mag loading either...I WANT one!

Next to my Fabarm

Oh! that's so nice. I want one, too. I've heard those complaints too, but no one seems to mind them too much. Personally, I'm waiting for a chance to handle one, too. Seems like the only choice for Mag-fed shotgun these days, unless you got some spare changes and get them Knoxx industries' fancy system.

Might be a stupid question, but I gotta ask... Is there a way to swap the vented barrel with valtro's regular length non-vented barrel? Or even better, non-vented short barrel?
If you gonna ask me why I need non-vented one, I can't answer you. Just asking. :)
Another question is, is there any after-market accessories available for Valtro shotgun?

Wolverine was the importer, I say was because I beleive he might have dropped them. I wasnt impressed by the one 9mmsuppository bought. Its a nice gun and everything but I remember the receiver gets scratched up alot from the mag and wobbles. I also think I remember it have a hammer that can come down even when the bolt isnt in full battery.

I am not 100% sure but I think you can get it with a longer barrel (though I have only seen them in person with short barrels)

I don't know of too many accessories other than the mag in different sizes..I strongly recommend a recoil pad :)

Greenhorse, I have seen them at Epps...I think they were in the $750 range

I have the short barrelled one (like the one in the pic!).. It's got one mag and I've had no problems with it... But I never really use it... what it's worth

I've used mine in a few 2 and 3 gun matches. it's greeat but you have to be very firm in cycling the action. if not you can get a failure to eject at the back end ( the empty and the top round bind). forward if you pull the trigger begore the bolt is in battery (up to 1/2" before) the hammer will fall and push the bolt forward and you wind up with a live round that you have to eject. - not good in IPSC. (this is a bad habit that the Remington 870s let you get away with- not so the Valtro.

mag changes work well as long as you remember to put them in at an angle then rotate a la AK
the only other thing that happens

who carries them, where do I get one?

Ellwoodepps sold these SG's NIB.

I seriously considered one but ended up buying a Fabarm 14" Martial.
I really liked the Valtro but extra mags were expensive (about $75 each).
Instead of buying one I got my buddy to buy it (and an extra mag).
It also came with Hi-Viz front sight and adj. rear (peep type).
Nice SG.
