I have a couple of WW II era guns I am thinking of putting up on the EE

A Remington Rand 1911a1 (no arsenal refurbishing marks) and a Nazi occupation Radom Vis 35 (3 lever.... "E" block serial with the slot for a shoulder stock)

I saw one of each sell recently at auction for what I thought were really big numbers ($1380 for the Radom and $1955 for the 1911) and wondered if that was actually today's market value or just an aberration?

Any advice would be appreciated

Well Sailor....I think you might get similar numbers on auction, but probably knock points off listing on EE here. Just from observation. I'd love to see you get a premium on a couple of fairly rare pieces like those, but realistically the hyenas are going to want to leave nothing on the bone for you around here.

Radom with slot cut is priced right in there. The 1911 seems a bit pricey but there is a large market for wartime 1911's. FWIW I've got a "J" block Radom that I may part with one day
if the prices keep rising.

Just to update with some more info....I took the Radom apart and while the barrel and slide numbers match those two do not match the frame serial number. Barrel and slide are "E04xx" and the Frame is "E40yy". How close they are makes me wonder if somebody transposed the two first digits at some point. Not sure what that does to the value but I'm guessing it's not good. OTOH the one that sold at auction had no reference to being matching numbers in the catalog description so.....

The 1911 has a HS marked barrel (High Standard I have read?)and the Ordinance Dept mark on the right frame just behind the top of the grip. It's marked "P" just below the mag release and on the top of the slide in front of the rear sight. There is a number '3" on the trigger guard on the left side and a "T" and a "F" in separate places on the right side of the trigger guard...Serial number is in the 1,422,### range. I'm not seeing any of the marks indicating arsenal refurbishment.

The Remington Rand is late 1943 production. Would be cool to see a pic of the other side. It should have a "FJA" inspector stamp on the frame above the mag release button on the other side. If the other side is similar finish, overall it's pretty worn in the finish department. The "HS" barrel is correct. That all said, there was a Rem Rand that went in the EE pretty quick recently for $1,400 asking.

The Rem Rand is the most common [highest production numbers] of the WWII era USGI 1911A1 .45ACP contract pistols. Prices seem to be edging up over time.

Thanks for the info. Yes, it does have the FJA inspector stamp. Here are some additional photos.
