So I have a Sauer and Sohn, made in West Germany 20 Ga 2 3/4" SxS. Bought at a collector auction several years ago. Imgur is not cooperating, will try to add photos. Excellent condition, fixed Full/Modified. Written on the barrel is Inexial Laufstahl, a maker mark, and Rochumer Versein. Their are ducks engraved on the left of the receiver, pheasants on the right.

Entirely too pretty for me, thus a safe princess.
Photo is overexposed, barrel is deep blue, receiver a greyed blue.

So lost my text. Posted some better photos.

Says "West Germany", so would date 1950's to 1989. Two marks, the size of kernels of rice. Nice straight, original finish walnut, sharp checkering, but probably "field" grade.

Found a blog. Appears this is a JP Sauer model 60, deluxe is model 8. Barrels say full choke and half choke. Marked 4 63, so I make that as April 1963.

Value anyone?

Are you sure it has a greener crossbolt? I don't see it.

If it doesn't, it may be a KIM model. That's the entry level gun maybe $700-$900

Got a link to that blog? I have a Sauer that I inherited from my father that I can't figure out what it is. He always referred to it as "The Old Sauer" (he had two Sauers...One a Model VIII and this one). It's got a 4 digit serial number, boxlock, greener crossbolt, nearly full-coverage engraving, side clips, 30" barrels, pistol grip stock, cheekpiece, horn inlays in the stock and forend and a horn trigger guard. I'll try to post some pics. It doesn't look like the photos of Royals that I've seen so possibly it's a pre-war model but my Google-Fu is really leaving me high and dry on this subject.

Apologies for the hijack.
