A friend has a late '80's vintage Browning lever rifle in 22-250 he is thinking of selling. Gun is in nice condition, has not been shot alot and has a 3x9 Tasco scope mounted. Looking for input on what would be a fair price. I've already told him the Tasco doesn't add a lot of value. Thanks

True in most cases, although the Japanese made Tasco's are better quality.
Condition dictates price, so it's hard to give a reasonable value without seeing it. If it's in nice condition like you say, $450-$600.

Market can vary, a few years ago it might have fetched $700-$750. Now it should be able to sell for $600 if in decent condition, maybe as much as $700 if you find the right buyer.
