I am looking at these three rifles....
#1) 1949 Win. Model 70 in 30-06
#2) 1963 Win. Model 70 in 308
#3) 1958 Win. Model 70 in 243

All rifles are in very good to excellent condition, both wood and blueing...
What is your honest opinion in their value...if I was to put them up for sale. I know some collectors seek these out.... Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated...thanks for your time.
Cheers.

First in those calibers not really sought after as collectibles unless they are as new, If they are all standard grade 30-06 $800 -$850 -308 $750-$850- 243- $900-$1,100. this is of coarse if condition is 90% +

Well even I am optimistic looked on gun Broker COMPLETED LISTINGS what gun have actually sold for. Found 6 -30-06 that have sold for between $650-$725.00 even less on the 308 $600-$750 the 243 is basically where it was priced .

When we estimate prices we tend to just state what they sold for in the past and not keep a sharp eye on the present market. This applies to all things, including guns.
Just following our own EE some changes can be seen.
1) Multiple sales of guns. Notice how many times lately we have seen two and three or more guns grouped for sale by an individual.
2) The ones that sell are at what most of us consider a real bargain.
3) The common, popular guns, like Model 94 W and Marlin 30-30s are off, in asking price, probaly 50 to 100 dollars less than they were selling at about two years ago.
All this indicates a bit of a saturated market at the moment for many types of firearms, but in particular the good quality old standbys.
We should look carefully at all angles, before we assess the value of a product.
