I found a cloth belt with several hundred rounds in it. I have it marked 8x63 Swedish, must have been years ago that I bought it. What is it worth? I'm thinking of putting it in the next auction.

Nobody shoots it, and they're not that uncommon in the collector world, so I wouldn't plan on retiring on the auction proceeds.

It's considered collectible by some people and the belt and ammo are still usable. It's somewhat scarce in Canada (I have about 20 belts and 10000 rounds of ammo myself....), but it's out there, while elsewhere in the world it's quite rare.

There was a time when the belt was worth about $25 and the 250 rounds of ammo about $0.10/round for their components. Total $50. Shipping of the ammo is expensive due to its weight and the shipping requirements (e.g. no Canada Post) so that is a factor a buyer would need to consider.

Thank you for the reply. Yes it must have been cheap at one time, for me to buy it, as I had no use for it, just looks impressive, nice for the den. Probably won't be long and no one will ship ammo for non-businesses.
