Value of a 1953 Winchester 94?

I have a 1953 Winchester '94 30-30 and have received a couple of offers in the past from folks who want to buy it from me. Up until recently, I have not even considered selling it, but I've often wondered how much it would be worth. It is by no means in mint condition, having a few marks on the stock etc (things to be expected on a 50+ year old hunting rifle), but it is certainly not in bad shape.

I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of how much the old girl would be worth?

In clean used condition, I've seen older 94 carbines sell for $400 - $450.

i have had two mint 1950's , paid $ 400 for one and 375 for the other.

An accurate description of condition would help or better yet some pictures. Otherwise, I'll guess $400. Somebody would probably pay $500 for a mint one.

The EE has them on there for $375 or less most of the time,in similar condition to the one you described....

To get $400 or more it better be in vg+ and have the sight hood.

There are over 7.5 million 94's out there. No way would I pay anywhere near $450 for a used one even if it was 'special'.
