I have just completed a deal on several restricted firearms and in there is a 4' colt model 357 with target grips .this gun is wow. im not looking to keep it and want to know what prise range it would sell for. only thing I see wrong is 2 little chips in the wood at the front bottom edge of the grips .thanks Ken

That gun is a prohib not a restricted, and would not be worth nearly as much as a restricted version
Unless it's one of those super-rare restricted revolvers with barrels just long enough to be non-prohibited...but that's probably not the case. If it is a prohib and it's a non-snake Colt (i.e. not a Python or King Cobra) it's probably worth $500ish based on others I've seen in the EE.

Was one up in the EE 12(6) recently for $550 that seemed to sell fairly quickly.

The first thing to clarify is if it is in fact a 4" barrel (and thus a prohib) or a restricted firearm.

dan bellisle is correct. If it is a Colt 3-5-7 then it is the I frame gun made between 1953 and 1961 and not a Python. As I understand it the actions of these guns formed the basis of the Python when they were introduced in 1955 but the Pythons received special tuning in the Custom Shop as well as ventilated rib, better finish etc
