Okay & Hello.
A friend is thinking of selling his full auto converted FN-FAL.

It is described as a Belgian made FN-FAL rifle with a 4 digit serial number. My friend has owned it since 1975, & the rifle was obtained from the Bermuda Police. No magazines.
Condition is good, gun looks original, bore is good too. Nickel chrome steel barrel.

Looking for what it's worth....thanks...

Condition is everything. However if it has not been to the lab you have to find someone willing to wait 3- 5 years for the lab to examine it before taking possession This has drastically affected the 12.3 prices. Asking seems to be in the $500 range .Also he may have to pay for a gunsmith to make modifications if it does not meet the lab's standards. Hate to say it but it might be worth more as a dewat. Ellwood Epps have a few 12.3 FN's listed on their website you can compare with them.

5 and 1/2 years for mine (Jan. 2011). Just got it back in the Fall with the recommendations

Any that haven't been to the lab must go to the lab. If they have been then they have a sticker and you have a document and you are good to go.

When they did mine they didn't send it back with requirements they asked which gunsmith to send it to with the list of changes that I had to pay to get done to get it back

My last 12.3 purchase is in the process of re-verification. The RCMP lab has any modifications on file and now requires new "permanent" modifications to be done. It has been shipped from the seller to a federally recognized gunsmith to do four minor changes. When all is done I will have it by the new year. 3-4 weeks tops. Prices of many 12.X classed firearms have dropped over the years which has rendered many investments almost worthless. I would pay $5-600 for a Belgian FAL in a heartbeat.

My 12-3 FN FAL went to Ottawa in February 2013 it has been inspected and Epps has to do some modifications before the CFC will transfer it to me. Not many 12-3 guys around.
My FAL is like new and I only paid $450 for it.
I would be interested in another one if the price is right.
