Hey all .
I have a chance to purchase a mossberg 340ba , thought it might make a good winter project .
The gun is in solid shape , locks up tight , smooth action etc , the wood is in well used but cared for condition , no cracks but the usual dings and scratches one would expect from a well used and loved oldie . Blueing is pretty much gone . The owner is going to find the magazine hopefully . Has the rear sling swivel , missing the front , sites are both there and undamaged .
So , anyone have a ballpark value for this gun ? Also , how available are the magazines for these , and at what price ?

I'd appreciate whatever guidance you all could give me as I know nothing about these guns .
Thanks all .
Dana

I had one and sold it here for a little more than the price in the link. There was not a great demand for a rifle like it. If it has its receiver sights in good shape and a functioning magazine, it should fetch $200 -$250. Magazines have been available from Numrich, but last time I checked there were none available. I found a spare magazine for the 340 I had (it had been misplaced for years) but it seems to be missing the spring loaded adjustor that allows for using S and L ammo.

In the condition you describe without the magazine it might sell for $140-$150. With the magazine $190-$225 max. As stated these aren't a high demand rifle. Expect to pay $50-60 for a magazine if it isn't found. PS. It's one of the harder ones to get.
The magazine you need fits these other models: 340B, 340K, 340B-A, 340K-A, 340TR, 342, 342K, 342KA, 350K,350K-A, 352, 352K, 352K-B, 352K-A
