Hey I have a Remington Nylon 10 that I got in a trade a while back, I was thinking of keeping it for my kids to use but I have been thinking of selling it as it just sits around cant make up my mind!!

I have seen a few nylon 66 up for sale but yet to se a nylon 10. Are they worth more or less then the 66? I googled it but all I found was some crazy prices that I figured are way out to lunch.

The one I have is in great shape, looks like it was barley used I would say its a 9/10 for shape.

Any help would be great, thanks guys.

Are you talking about a model 10 or 10C ?

The Nylon 10 is a single shot bolt action and low production. It was a standard Remington bolt action, not a "nylon" rifle, with a butterknife bolt, but fitted into the Nylon stock common to other Nylon rifles.

The Nylon 10C is a mag (clip) fed semi auto, not as common as the Nylon 66, and worth maybe 30-50% more.

For example, I have a Nylon 76, which is a lever action. Value 100-150% more than a Nylon 66. A mint Apache Black 76 (only 1,600 made) goes for $2k+

Here are a few production numbers

10 - 10,700 (bolt, single shot)
11 - 22,500 (bolt, clip)
12 - 27,600 (bolt, tube mag)
10C - 128,358 (semi, clip)
77 - 15,327 (renamed to 10C)
66 - 1,050,350 (all variants)
76 - 26,927 (lever, tube mag)

Thanks for the reply, I didnt really know to much about this nylon stuff.

So mine is the bolt action nylon 10 and going by your numbers mine is a really low prodution model.

Any ideas as a value on this thing? I looked a while back and saw people selling them in the U.S. for around 500 but to me that just seemed out to lunch.
thanks
