A friend of mine recently discovered a Roth-Steyr Model 1907 pistol in among some belongings he inherited from a deceased uncle. He doesn't have a restricted PAL so I have agreed to buy it from him but don't have any real idea what it is worth.
It looks to be in pretty good shape (at least 80-85%) with only minor freckling of the blued finish. Bore looks pretty good as well. It has a fairly low serial number (under 5000).
As these seldom come up for sale I haven't been able to get a solid idea of its value. I don't want to inadvertently rip him off but don't want to grossly overpay either.
Any informed estimates would be greatly appreciated.
