value of a stainless Mini-14 with factory folder??

I'm in a quandary and need your input. This is a very nice unit, and at one time these original Ruger folding stock guns went pretty high. Now with the sunset of the US assault rifle ban, is this still the case, or have they dropped? A friend is trading this rifle in, and I do want to treat him fairly :)

i would bet it is dependant on the condition of the unit - also what mags come with it they are not cheep.

I got mine (Mini14 with a Folder (factory)) from wholesale sports a few years ago in AS NEW shape for ~900.

One thing to remember is that you should check with Ruger in the USA and see if it was shipped from Ruger with the folder. If it is an original Mini14 Folder rifle then the gas port is slightly different than a normal Mini. If it was added after then it is not worth as much. The phone call is free and an all original SS Factory folder as a whole unit is probably worth over 1K if it is "as new" - less if the stock was added after. Depends on if you are after it for the 'look' or 'originality'. Look will be cheeper and originality will ahve the look also but be original (where you pay more).

Being fair is as follows - treat it as a consignment and offer it at $1,200. Come down $100 a week until it sells. If it was mine (and yes I have one) that's what I'd suggest....and if I got $900 I'd think I did well.

Those things are only worth whatever somebody is willing to pay. When all is said and done, they're still just a Mini-14 with a slightly different handle.

i have a stainless factory built folder NIB Ive rarely handled it and never fired it

would i sell it probably not unless someone offered me way too much for it....
