I have a yugo SKS m59/66 that i bought from marstar 2 years ago, it has the night sights and the flip up grenade launcher sights. it came with the accesories and im not sure where the cleaning rod is in my house somewhere.

it has under 120 rounds through it. its all numbers matching ( no electropencil matching from the looks of it) and its been sitting in my safe for the past 1.5 years. i have lost interest in collecting older surplus firearms ( except for my m1 garand:redface: ). What would a reasonable price be for my sks? i was thinking about trading for a newer VZ58 or using the money to help fund a ruger percision rifle build. Thoughts?

A trade for an 858 would probably be a bit of a stretch. The 858's are going for around the $1K mark at the moment (which is a bit over-priced, if you ask me, but hey, I'm a cheap bastige).

Last I checked, the Yugo's were going in the $400-$600ish range. Good quality rifles, but hard to push any SKS above the $500 asking price and actually have it move.

I might be wrong on that, haven't looked in about a year at the price of these.

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you "Cinder"...

Like tinder, but for Canadian gun nuts wanting to meet to swap guns, not that other stuff. :p

Nice Yugo. I think it would be in that 5 to 700 range. Hell that is what they sold for and no more are coming in.

Unfired I would say 700-850 range. I have an unfired one and would not let it go under $700. I think I paid close to $600 for it years ago. Due to the rarity of these guns I think a trade for a used CZ/VZ may not be to much of a stretch. I think due to demand on the VZ/CZ as of late is really driving up prices however, the Yugo M59/66 will never go back into production and prices can only go higher in my opinion.

If you want to use me as an example I just paid $800.00 for mine a week ago while checking out EE while I was drunk. The trick is to post it on EE late Friday or Saturday when you have a better chance that people have been drinking. It is a very nice condition Yugo and I have no regrets on my purchase.

all I can say is john from marstar sold his personal collection of 10 Yugo sks m59/66 in mint condition for $5000 to a CGN member who in turn sold it to other members at cost, back in 2009 so go from there.
