I usually live in the milsurp world, so I thought I should check over here with the rimfire gurus. A friend just told me they have an "Eaton" .25 rimfire and want to know what it's worth. I haven't seen it, so I am assuming it is in typical (very well used, dinged, etc) condition. I have seen these in the past, but not for a long time. What are they bringing now?

Value = condition. That said I'd say about the same as a 22 cal. Most of the 25 cal stevens cooeys I seen the bores were really bad as they were very corrosive. One version of the 25 cal had a small peep sight on the back of the receiver similar to the model 82 but really small. If one of those in really good shape was found I'd guess $150. A pic of this gun would be nice. The Eatonia trade mark was made for T Eatons Co in the 20s and 30s and production was quite high. The stock had a round knob for a pistol grip and sights were soldered on----Cowboy
