I have found a CZ-38 pistol that I am thinking about purchasing, I am wondering how much they should sell for and how rare are they to find in Canada? I know price would depend on condition just looking for a price range. Just for the record I'm not soliciting members to purchase one just in case any one incorrectly wants to imply that I am.

I've owned a few on the past, most of mine were SA stamped (Finnish). I think cs sells a couple

Very cool guns, I have one that's SA marked, IMHO that should increase the value. CS has them at over $1000 but they've been sitting unsold for quite awhile that price. I'd say anywhere from $600 -$800 for a nice one in the Canadian market. On rarity alone they should be higher but they just don't get that same level of name recognition that a Luger or Mauser does.

I actually bought it, it was from Reliable Gun. I wasn't looking for one before I saw it but after researching it I decided I needed to have it. I paid $500 plus tax. According to the serial number it was used by the Germans and not from the Bulgarian contract. I will post pictures when it arrives. Now I "need" a Nazi marked Hi-Power.

I'd buy one for $500 in a heartbeat. I have many, many handguns and my CZ38 is amongst the coolest.

It's quite possible that in Canada SA marked are more common than unmarked. If "common" can be applied to quite uncommon pistol at all. It's possible all of them came from Finland, just not everyone is SA marked. Did anybody have a serial research on hand? I have one with no SA. Very cool pistol with awful trigger pull.

I hardly shoot mine. DAO pistols are not fun to shoot at all. It's an ugly little duckling too but it was basically given to me and it goes with my Cz-52 pistol.

Picked one up some years ago. This gun was really torn apart by Ian Hogg in his
Military small arms books. It is awkward looking and big for the 380acp, but is beautifully made.
Surprised they don't command higher prices.
